After collecting your luggage, follow the Trains to City signs to find the CTA O'Hare Blue Line Station.
Where is the O'Hare station located?
The O'Hare Blue Line station is located in the lower level of Terminal 2.
How do I get there?
You can either walk to lower level Terminal 2 to reach the station, or take the Airport Transit System (ATS). The ATS connects each terminal and the remote parking lots as well and passes through the terminals about every 5-7 minutes.
How do I pay for the "L?"
You can purchase fare with either cash or credit. There are vending machines located outside the station.
What type of ticket should I buy?
If you will be exploring the city using public transportation, we recommend purchasing a 7-day pass. The pass costs $28 USD, but will allow you ride all CTA buses and trains without additional expense. This pass can be used to get to Daley Center for the courthouse tour, the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, and back to the airport on Sunday. If you think you'll be walking most of your visit, you can purchase a single use card. The cost is $5, and will get you to the hotel only.

- You will board the train at the O'Hare Station. We identify trains by the destination, so this train will be heading towards Forest Park. You will stay on the train for approximately 40 minutes and exit at the Washington Station.
- Follow the signs that lead to the Lake Red Line Station. The Red and Blue Lines are connected using the pedway in the lower level of the Block 37 shopping center.
- Board the North bound red line train. This train will be heading towards Howard and will have signs in the windows. You can also look for the arrows on the platform floor that say "Northbound". You will stay on the train for approximately 3 minutes and exit at the Chicago Red Line Station.
- When you exit the Chicago Red Line Station, you will head north on State Street. The Whitehall Hotel is a 6-10 minute walk away. There will be a McDonald's on your right and a row of green awnings on your left.
- You will continue north on State Street. You will pass Pearson Street (the Loyola Campus is on this block) and Chestnut Street (Chestnut is split, so it may seem like streets 2 and 3.) The third street is Delaware Street.
- Turn right onto E. Delaware Pl.
- The Whitehall Hotel is located at 105 E Delaware Pl, Chicago, IL 60611 and will be on your right.
WHERE AM I?!?
If you get lost. Stay calm. Try to find your location by looking for street signs or train stops. If you are at a train station, ask an attendant for help. If you are on the street, you can ask a passer-by for directions.
